Michael K. Laidlaw, MD
Michael K. Laidlaw, M.D. is a board-certified endocrinologist, trained in an academic medical center, and has been a private practice in Rocklin, CA since 2006. In 2017, he became concerned about a strong push to incorporate transgender ideas into the local school system culminating when kindergarteners were read the pro-transition children’s book “I am Jazz”.
He wrote an influential article called “Gender Dysphoria and Children: An Endocrinologist’s Evaluation of I am Jazz”.
From there he went on to publish in medical journals and to speak and educate on the topic in locations such as California, Washington DC, the UK Parliament, and in front of the Florida Medial Board.
He has worked and testified on behalf of states, including as an expert witness, for sensible legislation to stop the use of harmful hormones, puberty blockers and surgeries provided to minors for the purpose of gender transition.
